The Elements of your 4-day stay

COMMUNITY

Meet kindred spirits who are prioritizing their wellbeing and skew a little woo. If we had to pick one word to describe our vibe it's definitely authentic (and maybe a little rebellious).

MOVEMENT

Start each day with guided stretching and breath work on the boat dock. Let your body awaken through a juicy flow of slow, intentional movements that help you embody your body, release tension and improve mobility.

NATURE

Give your nervous system what it craves: time outdoors, immersed in the elements and unplugged from technology. Glide on the water and unwind under the stars beside the firepit.

CLEAN EATING

Have you ever had the pleasure of eating ten chef-prepared, anti-inflammatory, allergy-friendly meals in a row? Treat yourself!

P.S. You might just have the best bowel movement of your life.

FOUNDATIONAL HEALING

Support your commitment to yourself and realignment from within. Experience acupuncture, bioresonance and energy healing modalities to gently nudge your system back into balance and promote lasting well-being.

CREATIVITY

We suspect most adults don't play enough and we want to change that. Watch the porch transform into an art studio. Bring your journal and indulge your inner child with washi tape, stickers and colored pens.

Your Retreat Wellness Squad

Rachel Abbett

Meet your Chief Glow-up Officer. Rachel traded electrical engineering for nutritional therapy and energy work -- a strategic shift from lighting external spaces to illuminating internal ones. At the retreat you'll experience a full buffet of Rachel's current offerings: Emotion Code, Body Code, Bioresonance, IonCleanse detoxing foot baths and more.

Mariah Sotelino

Our in-house Pilates instructor Mariah will lead us through daily gentle movement classes and breath work to help you embody your body. Mariah has over 25 years of expertise and a keen eye for identifying your physical imbalances. A woman of many talents, including art and illustration, she'll be leading us in individual and group art projects.

Beth Burke Farrar

Meet Beth, a licensed acupuncturist with over 20 years of experience in traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, and herbal therapy. With a perfect blend of compassion and humor, Beth offers both immediate relief and long-term wellness. Have you ever had acupuncture on a boat dock? Neither have we, but we can't wait!

Real People, Real Transformation

Our clients aren't just showing up—they're giving unsolicited feedback. Hear how our team has helped real people take control of their health, build lasting habits, and feel their best every day.

Got Questions? We've Got You.

Below are answers to the most common things people ask before committing.

  • Do I have to share a bed?
Most people will share a bed. This is intentional. We want to meet your favorite people, whether that's your best friend, sister, spouse, mom, etc. If you'd like a bed to yourself choose the double bed with the quad occupancy aka the bunk room. If those are sold out, inquire about specialized pricing if you desire to have a suite to yourself.
  • What if I have food allergies?
Our in-house chef is a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Everything she cooks is gluten-free, dairy-free and low-inflammatory. If you have special dietary concerns, please share them and we will accommodate you. Attendees will all receive a pre-arrival questionnaire to address needs like this, but it's never too early to put those concerns to rest.
  • Is this retreat for women only?
You won't find gender advertised in any of our marketing material. If you feel aligned with our purpose and programming, you are welcome.
  • What is your theme?
This year's theme is Permission to Exhale. This is an invitation for caregivers (of families, clients, patients, students, team members, your own health...), to pause and take a break. We know it can mean a lot to ask for help. We also know it's important. If you do one thing this week, we ask that you start the conversation with your spouse, your mom, the parent of your kid's best friend, the neighbor who loves your dog... and see if they will support you for these 4 days. We promise to send you back with a fully charged battery and energy to give.
  • Why do you put on retreats?
We are here for community. The husbands of two retreat alums became golf buddies after their wives introduced them. We want to build more authentic connections like this and help you find your new favorite people. Solitude is healing, loneliness is not. Bond over the things that will be foundational to your life from here on out.
  • What if I'm not familiar with some of these offerings?
You're welcome to hop over to www.luminousandgrounded.com to read more about them, but we'll give you a rundown of everything you need to know, at the retreat. All offerings are "take what serves you and leave the rest." That means no one will shame you if you want to opt out of an activity or do your own thing. No explanation needed.
  • I missed the Early Bird deadline, is there any way to recoup the savings?
Yes! We offer a generous affiliate program. When you refer someone to the retreat who signs up and uses your link, you'll receive an 11% commission. Ask us how to enroll!
  • I still have questions, who do I contact?
